Foxwood come for some work experience

Foxwood come for some work experience

Homecraft Interiors are great believers in thinking local, shopping local but most importantly supporting local people and charities. On the build up to our big event on Thursday 25th November we have been having some of the pupils from Foxwood school popping in to learn the ropes at Homecraft with a spot of work experience.

Everyone did exceptionally well helping with various tasks including serving customers, doing the banking and trips to the Post Office but more importantly selling raffle tickets for the charity raffle to help raise money for rainy day equipment at their school.

Mulled Wine and Mince Pies Charity event Thursday 25th November 6pm

We would first of all like to start with a big Thank You! To those of you who supported us last year your generosity was fantastic and we managed to raise over £500 for sensory equipment for our local charity Foxwood School in Bramcote, a special school for children with disabilities.

After the success of last years event we would like to continue with our achievements and will be hosting the third annual charity event with an evening of festivity! Let us help you relax into the spirit of Christmas with seasonal food and drinks, promotions discounts and special offers on our fantastic new Christmas range, stocking fillers and gifts, along with a charity raffle with all proceeds again going directly to Foxwood. This year the school are aiming to raise money for new rainy day play equipment.

The event starts at 6pm on Thursday 25th of November at the Wollaton branch, however if you are unable to make it on the evening but would still like to help with this worth while charity Homecraft will be selling raffle tickets in the shop through out the whole of November on the run up to the big night!

Stunning interiors and Mojitos in Seville

Stunning interiors and Mojitos in Seville

I recently took a long weekend in Seville for a close friends Hen party. Along with the other 2 bridesmaids we all took our role of hosting the best Hen Do ever very seriously! As well as taking serious time pondering over what jokes to play and tacky presents to buy we took hours considering which hotel to stay in and I’m glad we did as it was AMAZING!!!

The recently opened EME Cathedral Hotel Seville was not only in the perfect location with amazing views of the cathedral but for someone in my business or anybody who appreciates good surroundings it was inspirational heaven with stunning interiors. I will certainly be using ideas in my own work and home interiors.

If any of you are planning a trip to Seville it is well worth a visit, I highly recommend a Mojito cocktail on the roof top terrace!

Nottingham University Eco Houses

Nottingham University Eco Houses

Nottingham University has been running the Creative Energy Homes project,

‘The project is a showcase of innovative state of the art energy efficient homes of the future.’

Six homes are being constructed allowing companies to develop and test various methods  of construction, layouts, thermal and energy saving processes and materials. The aim of the project is to promote new ways of providing affordable and environmentally sustainable housing.

Over the summer Homecraft Interiors finished 2 more of the interiors to this project, everything from curtains, blinds, tracks and poles, tables, chairs, vases and flowers!

Harrogate Home & Gift Show

We’ll be working hard choosing new stock for the Autumn Winter season. The exciting new bits should then arrive through August. Eventhough we should be working really hard we might just have time to stop off at our favourite Betty’s Tea room for a cheeky cream tea!
